COMMUNITY EVENTS & MARKETS
Plants remind us we’re connected while helping us to connect.
This has been at the heart of Botany since the beginning, and it’s more than a belief. We’ve seen it, felt it, and experienced it too many times over too many years for it to be a fluke.
Spaces grounded in plants are powerful.
In a world of algorithms, uncertainty, loneliness, and disconnection, we believe we desperately need spaces and experiences that invite and encourage us to share of our best selves, to remember what it means to see, know, support, and love our neighbors. We know that plants can create those spaces, and it is in this spirit that we host community events throughout the year.

Poledor House Native Landscape Installation
Indiana Landmarks, a local non-profit organization whose mission is to save our historic buildings from demolition, is partnering with local plant businesses, Botany & Co and Spaulding Restoration, to create a native landscape around the new site. The Poledor house is a 1913 craftsman style house with original features throughout. Botany & Co and Spaulding Restoration are planting the site surrounding the house in a matrix style native landscape, and we are looking for interested volunteers to join us in getting plants in the ground! We will be on site to explain why we use native plants in installations, general design concepts and the site conditions considered when choosing the plants. Join your fellow neighbors in this planting party and walk away knowing you had a hand in bringing more native plants to the community!
